School Meal Provision
Hartford Junior and Infant Schools are having a new catering provider from September 2018. HCL is an award-winning specialist caterer with a foundation in the education sector. They provide quality services to academies, colleges and schools. They are passionate about providing fresh, local and seasonal food to schools; improving the school meals service and making lunchtime an integral part of the whole school experience. They endeavour to provide dishes that are not only popular with students but will also comply with healthy eating standards and guidelines. Your child will brought a leaflet home with them containing important information. If your child has food allergies or intolerances you MUST supply this information via: specialmenu.hcl.co.uk
We have just added the new dinner menus for September to our school website. From the start of September, your child will need to choose what they are eating and let their teacher know during registeration in the morning. They are then given a coloured band to wear to collect their dinner. They will not be able to change their minds once the order is in, as our cook now has to prepare meals to order on the actual numbers. It ...is vitial the children give the correct option. There will not be any spare meals for those who say they are packed lunch and are in fact hot dinners.
Eventually you as parents will chose for the children in advance via a website once it is up and running the week before, and that is then automatically sent straight to our kitchen.
The new caterers have informed us, as of yet no allergies or food intolorences have been given to them. It is the parents responsibility to inform the caterers. To apply, simply go to specialmenu.hcl.co.uk. It must also be on medical evidence fro the Doctors/hospital. The information was sent out for this on the last day of term
Currently the Agora system is being updated. We have been told it should be ready for the start of term.
Any money that is owed from last term, must be paid on the first day back. A reminder that all money is to go in a sealed envelope with the childs name, Class, amount and what it is for via the class teacher. Please do not hand it directly to the school office.
Please see below the link for the Lunch menu for the Summer half term
With effect from 1st September 2017 School dinners will increase to £2.30 per meal.
We have gone cashless (well almost!). You should all have your unique activation codes for your children by now. Each child will have a separate code. You will be able to pay all dinner money via this system. We will still take money through the office, however we encourage as many of you as possible to use the online system.
A polite reminder that no debt should be larger than -£11.50 this is equivalent to one week of dinners. In the case that the debt continues to grow, we will ask for a packed lunch to be provided until the debt has cleared.
