School Meal Provision

The meals at Hartford Junior School are provided by CCS, the catering organisation linked to the Local Authority. They have asked us to circulate a survey about the meals they provide, and we would appreciate as many families as possible responding.

In light of the Childhood Obesity Strategy published last summer, Cambridgeshire Catering Service would like to support schools and encourage pupils to make informed choices about the foods they eat every day.  Eating habits are formed in childhood, and as adults, these long-held habits can be very hard to break.   Therefore,  to start children on the right track and to reflect Public Health England Healthy Eating Guidelines, we would like your views on healthy food options and the continued provision of sweet puddings every day.

If you would like to help shape future school meal provision, please complete the questionnaire by following the link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HQW5J5C

With effect from 1st September 2017 School dinners will increase to £2.30 per meal.

We have gone cashless (well almost!). You should all have your unique activation codes for your children by now. Each child will have a separate code.  You will be able to pay all dinner money  via this system. We will still take money through the office, however we encourage as many of you as possible to use the online system.

A polite reminder that no debt should be larger than -£11.25 this is equivalent to one week of dinners. In the case that the debt continues to grow, we will ask for a packed lunch to be provided until the debt has cleared.
