Year 6 Rotary Club Quiz

On Thursday 22nd February 2018 15 of our fabulous Year 6 pupils competed in the Huntingdon Rotary Club Quiz last night, which involved five primary schools, and were victorious with a winning score of 108 correct answers out of 150 questions.  The children answered rounds of questions on geography and plants, animals and general knowledge. Our closest rivals, Buxton and Brampton came joint second with a score of 107.
To reward for our success, the Rotary Club is awarding the school £50.00 prize and a trophy which is currently being engraved with Hartford Junior School name on it!  This will be presented to the winning team as soon as it is delivered to us.
The school would like to thank the children who participated, and the parents to made up the 'cheerleading squad' - your support is always appreciated.
Once again, congratulations to the Year 6 Quiz champions.

 Hartford General Election

In Year 6 we have been looking at the general election and thinking about how our government is formed. We have created our own political parties and have written manifestos with our policies. We will be giving speeches in assembly to the school before the whole school takes part in an election in the hall polling station on Friday.
