Be Internet Safe
It has come to our attention that some of our pupils are using sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Bebo. The terms of conditions for all of these sites state that the children MUST be 13 years or older. They also stop people joining their communities if they are younger than this age. We are concerned about the safety of our pupils and we have been holding assemblies and carrying out work in class to do with E-Safety. Here are our 'Rules for Responsible Internet Use' that we follow in school. Please help your children by reinforcing this message at home. There is a wealth of information for both parents and children at the thinkuknow website. We hope you find this useful.
Following our E-Safety meeting for parents, the links for the websites mentioned are on the parents page.
Ofsted Inspection
In November we were visited by five Ofsted Inspectors. They saw every teacher teach in school and spent a long time talking to the children about what they think about our school. We were pleased that the Inspectors were impressed to see how well the children behaved and how helpful and courteous they were. They also said we had a warm and welcoming atmosphere and that pupils felt greatly valued as individuals.
We are proud of our school and are fully committed to maintaining the areas in which we achieved a rating of good, as well as improving and enhancing those which are not so strong.
